How long will it take to translate my document?
I can translate between 2000 and 3000 words per day. Very specialized texts requiring a great deal of background research or documents with very complex formatting may take a little longer.
I will always confirm a delivery date and time with you once I have received your document and we have agreed on a price.
Can you give me an example of a document you have translated?
Yes; please tell me if you wish me to send you some examples from my portfolio of translations.
What formats can you work with?
In addition to paper documents such as letters, photocopies and books, I can also work with most customary formats, including .doc, .rtf, .txt, .html, .xls, .ppt, .pdf, .xps, .xml and .zip.
How does one set about buying a translation?
Once you have received my quote and decided whether you would like me to take on your project, I ask you that you contact me by e-mail ([email protected]). For very large texts, I will ask you for a deposit of 20%.
Once the project has been entirely completed, I will send you the final invoice. This should be paid no later than 30 days after the invoice date, unless other arrangements have been made beforehand. I apply the Model Terms of Business of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payments can be made using wire transfer or PayPal.
Do you use translation software?
For translation memory and terminology management, I use SDL Trados Studio 2022 and MemoQ 10. For quality assurance, I use Antidote 9, Verifika 2.5 and ApSIC XBench 2.9.
